Fish Harvest: Epalela Fish Farm: 9 April 2016

An extra-ordinary fish harvest took place at the Ministry of Fisheries and Marine Resources (MFMR) fish farm, Epalela on Saturday 9 April 2016. A total of 6 ton of tilapia was harvested for sale to the public. In his address Hon. Minister Bernhard Esau (MP) reassured the public that facilities like Epalela and other MFMR fish farms will be used as demonstration farms to showcase the latest research and development in aquaculture in Namibia. He further encouraged farmers to take up aquaculture in order to produce fish for income and feeding their families.
