Headman Muhero of the Kamutjonga area in the Hambukushu Traditional Authority visited Kamutjonga Inland Fisheries Institute (KIFI) on Monday the 11th of November 2013 to meet with Mr. Burger the Deputy Director. Headman Muhero discussed issues pertaining to:
- The way forward with the development of KIFI
- Cooperation between KIFI and Headmen Muhero for the benefit of Kamutjonga village
- Registration of people at KIFI on the Hambukushu Tradisional Authority, Tribal Fund Registration Card.
- Cooperation between the Police at KIFI and Headmen Muhero
Mr. Burger assured Headmen Muhero that KIFI will continue to cooperate with the Hambukushu Tribal Authority at Kamutjonga village. Currently KIFI employ 21 temporary workers from the village and allow the immediate Kamutjonga neighbors to collect drinking water at KIFI. Mr. Burger also promised to schedule quarterly meetings with Headmen Muhero.
