Mr. Pedro B. Bueno arrived in Namibia on Sunday the 2nd of June 2013. His mission is to Prepare Training and Extension Material for inland aquaculture in Namibia. He embarked on a tight programme to visit aquaculture sites and meet staff members, farmers and other stakeholders from Monday 3 June until the 21 st of June 2013 when he will fly back to Thailand. Mr. Bueno is an Aquaculture, Rural Development and Information Specialist with vast experience in the development of extension training materials.

He visited the Northeast and Northwest regions from the 7th to the 17th of June 2013. This included a visit to KIFI where he met staff and cooperative fish farm members. He also visited Karovo and Mpungu Fish Farms as well as Ongwediva-, Onavivi Inland Aquaculture Centers and Epalela Fish Farm as well as other small scale aquaculture projects.

This was followed by a workshop at the Ongwediva Inland Aquaculture Center (OIAC) on "The Elaboration of New Training Materials". Inland Aquaculture staff members from all Inland Aquaculture centers attend this workshop where the development of extension training material was deliberated. A work-plan for finalization of the new aquaculture training materials will also be developed.
