The rules for the competition was clearly laid out by Mr. Duppie du Plessis and Mouro Rosa (chairperson: Crockango Angling Club). Mr. Renier Burger, Deputy Director for Inland Fisheries introduced the staff (Inspectorate and Research) from the Ministry of Fisheries and Marine Resources. He requested all anglers to be observant of Epizootic Ulcerative Syndrome (EUS) and to please bring in any fish cuaght with this disorder for sampling and diagnistic purposes. Inland Fisheries would like to establish the true scope of this disease in the Kavango river. He also reminded anglers to be on the lookout for any invasive species. Honourable B.
